Solving the Problem of time and Earn More Money

Last night I was at an event and got talking to a person (let’s call her Mia) about my Wealth Ignite program which helps people get off the treadmill of working till they drop.

We started talking about one of the steps in my program which is grow your income. Mia asked do you mean get a second job. I said not necessarily.

I explained that to grow your income these days, you need to add more value or solve bigger problems. It turns out that Mia is a flying instructor.

So how do you add more value or solve bigger problems if you are a flying instructor?

I said to Mia that one of the biggest problems people face is time, so let’s have a look at that.

Now you can’t really do too much about logging flying time, but it turns out Mia is spending about an hour before each flight going through theory. And Mia was repeating this all the time.

And this leads to the solution that she can earn more money for the same amount of work. No need for a second job!

And what was the solution to allow Mia to Earn More Money?

Simple, automate the theory component.

Do a one-time recording of the theory and put it on a membership or teaching site.
Put a test at the end of the lesson to make sure people actually watch the videos and / or read the material.
Now just spend 10 minutes before the flight asking a couple of different questions just to check they did not cheat.
Then have the actual flying lesson.

And for this everybody wins.

Firstly, Mia wins big time. Instead of only doing say 3 flying lessons a day (3 hours theory and 3 hours flying), Mia can now do 5 flying lessons a day (1 hour theory and 5 hours flying). And as the value in the lesson is in the flying time not the theory, she could increase her income by over 60% and not do any extra work in the day.

Secondly, her students get value.

They can do the theory in a time that suits, rather than trying to learn this when they are potentially stressed about their first solo flight for example.
If they don’t understand something they can replay the video.
They can go back and refresh themselves at any time.
And the student does not need to be in the same location. They can do all the theory from home, and knock off several real flying lessons in one day.
They turn up at the airport and get straight into flying – which is what they really want. Who wants to sit and watch PowerPoint slides when all they want to do is fly? I have never flown a plane but I have skydived and I remember my first solo jump. The fun was the jump. Not the all the hours of practice and theory beforehand.

So in doing one thing solving the problem of time, Mia can increase her income by over 60% whilst adding value to the students at the same time. Win / win for all!
