Equal Pay Day April 10 2018

Today in the US is Equal Pay Day.

Equal Pay Day is the approximate day all woman (irrespective of race) in the US, must work into the new year to make what the typical man made at the end of the previous calendar year.

Equal Pay Day, always falls on a Tuesday.  Why?

If you break the data down to a working week, on average women have to work to the following Tuesday to have the same income as the average man earned in the previous week.

This gender pay gap, and resultant the gender wealth gap, is the reason why women over 55 are one of the fastest growing groups facing poverty and homelessness.

In the words of Tony Robbins, “you may be blessed with a long life, but it may not feel like a blessing if you run out of money”.
